How did Northwood University students recently get a glimpse of dealership operations? Students in The Automotive Group (TAG) participated in a Strategy Navigator workshop with Reynolds associates.

The workshop pinpoints a dealership's strengths and weaknesses to help them grow into a high performance dealership.
Members of TAG role-played using real situations dealerships may be facing in today's market. Steve VanArsdale, president of TAG, summarized the students' reactions to the workshop:

Reynolds and Northwood have had a strategic partnership since 1975 when Reynolds placed the first DMS on Northwood's Michigan campus. The two organizations continue to partner to develop coursework aimed at preparing students for active leadership roles within dealerships.

"The students enjoyed the chance to see the daily decisions a manger faces and the impact those decisions have on the entire dealership. Strategy Navigator seems like a great opportunity for dealerships to improve their operations. It's a two hour investment that really will pay dividends."
The students also enjoyed learning how this workshop could help a dealership unify their management team and how Reynolds is the only company that offers this service in the automotive industry.
