Reynolds and Reynolds and General Motors Settle IDMS dispute;
Current GM IDMS customers able to remain on Reynolds DMS without disruption
DAYTON, OHIO – April 4, 2008 - The Reynolds and Reynolds Company announced today that it has reached agreement with General Motors to settle the dispute surrounding GM IDMS. As part of the agreement, both companies will drop their respective lawsuits pertaining to the GM IDMS contract. Details of the settlement were not disclosed. However, the agreement allows for Reynolds' current GM IDMS customers to continue using their current Reynolds dealership management system without any disruption to their dealership's business.
"All along, dealers have had a choice," commented Cathy Orrico, vice president of OEM Solutions at Reynolds. "The fact that so many GM dealers chose to do business with Reynolds originally says to us that we offer the right DMS value and support for their business. We fully expect that the investment our GM customers have made in their DMS with Reynolds can continue to serve them well, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue working with all of them as Reynolds customers."
